Funktion is a B2B start-up developing a modular smart textile solution. The team decided to take a new approach to the market by pivoting away from smart garment production to providing individualizable proprietary software and hardware solutions to other companies.
The task was to package the highly technical features in a consumerable human way. Subtle colors were used to form differentiation and communicate the function of different widgets in a subconscious way.

In order to ease the seamless integration of various hardware modules to run diverse use cases, an app was developed with the aim of empowering users to effortlessly explore and install a multitude of options.
To achieve this, a widget-based architecture was implemented, minimizing the reliance on forms and graphics. By leveraging this approach, users can easily customize their experience by installing specific widgets tailored to their individual needs. Moreover, all workflows and functions have been automated, ensuring a user-friendly operation without overwhelming the user.
